Spring

Spring is finally here. Spring is my favorite season. The sun stays out later, the weather is great and I always get spring fever...I am ready to plan a trip but for now I am happy that we are able to take a walk each night after dinner. Carter is enjoying his little red car. He likes it when we stand on either side of the drive way and push him back and forth really fast. He is very adventurous.
Addison loves to take his little remote contrl truck with us during our walk (when he can get it away from Shawn)!Spring would not be complete without some time in the backyard on the swing set. This is a new addition, bought especially for Carter. He loves it.

Addi has always enjoyed the swing set. He mostly likes to swing which is fun and all except that he refuses to swing his legs so we have to do all the work. So much for kicking back on the patio with a drink and watching the kids play...

Disney

We had a great weekend. We went to DisneyWorld and Epcot on Saturday to celebrate Addison's 5th birthday. Since it was his birthday and we already had a ticket for him, Disney gave us a choice of a credit to the souviner shops or a fast pass to 8 rides for the whole family. We, of course, took the fast pass. The longest we had to wait for a ride was about 10 minutes. It was great!!!

Addison had a pin that announced to everyone he was celebrating his birthday so he heard "Happy Birthday" about a million times. He is such a big boy. He wanted to ride all of the big rides! He is tall enough for most of them, but not all...he is still my baby.

Sunday we had a little birthday celebration at home. We sang "Happy Birthday", ate cake and opened gifts. His favorite gift is his new pet fish whose current name his Mr. Hush. Not sure where that came from but I am sure it will not be the final name. Addison wanted to give him some of his bedtime water last night. Any bets on how long Mr. Hush will survive at our house???

Addi's 5th Birthday Party

Guess who's 5 years old???
Addison Michael Brown
Well, not officially until Saturday, March 14th but he thinks he is already 5 since his party was yesterday. Addison's party was at Pump It Up. It was a fun time had by all, even the parents. There is so much to do. They have huge inflatable slides, obstacle courses, bouncers and basketball courts.

They even have a few things for the little ones...Carter had a fun time too.

Aunt Stephanie, Grammy and Uncle Mark were in town to enjoy the festivities. Thank you for coming guys!
These are some of Addi's buddies. Cute group!
The celebration continues this weekend when we take Addi to Disney...stay tuned.

Soccer Game

We are back in the game...soccer that is. The fall season ended in November and we have been anxiously awaiting the spring season. It is great to get out and see the kids having fun, not to mention the pride of having a team that was undefeated last season (not that we are keeping track or anything). Shawn really enjoys getting out there and coaching the kids especially since he is a fanatic when it comes to soccer!!!

Taking a short break with brother.

Diamond D Ranch

Today was field trip day for Addi's class. We went to the Diamond D Ranch and had a great time. Addison fed the catfish, played in the bouncy house and ate lunch. This is a picture of Addison with his class (he is the 4th from the left). After lunch we went on a hay ride to feed the goats and then to the cow pasture to feed the...COWS. It was a lot of fun and the kids loved it. I even got licked on the elbow by one of the bigger cows. It's tongue was so rough I thought it might have taken a layer of skin off! After the hay ride was Addi's favorite part. He got to ride a pony for the first time. He thought it was "awesome". His pony's name was Raphael and he was one of the bigger ponies.
At the end of the day I finally let Addi get on the old, rusty tractor he had seen at the start of the day. We enjoyed the day at the ranch so much that Addi now wants to work at a ranch when he grows up. I can't wait to hear what he wants to be tomorrow.
